How many times in your life have you asked God to show you His will? Sometimes it feels like the only thing I ask for.
How wrong have I been about this.
God’s word spoken from His breathe blown over creation says it so clearly I wonder how I could have missed this, “You must worship no other gods, for the LORD, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.” Exodus 34:14 NLT
Could it be that we get so caught up in our performance as Christians that we miss the entire aim of our purpose?
He wants us to know Him, spend time with Him, be romanced by Him, and romance Him in return.
Genesis says we were created in His image. We are like Him in His very nature. We have the propensity to be sanctified. We have the ability to become loving, just, graceful, powerful, righteously angry, and jealous . . . Just like Him! Now, we cannot by any means become God, but we can strive to be like Him, as we were originally destined to be.
Plainly stated, He created us with free will, the knowledge of the bible written on our very hearts, the Holy Counselor at our door, understanding that we had the opportunity to choose death or life. We can worry if we’ve chosen life as much as we want, but do you realize that this means we have the ability to choose LIFE! Can I get an amen?
When you say that you are seeking after God, I encourage you to check your heart to see if you’re seeking God’s will for answers to your life’s problems, or if you’re seeking God for His very heart.
If you’re in a valley, don’t worry about where your feet are going. Remember, that to be in a valley there has to be at least two mountains on either side. Keep your eyes high.
Right there with you,
