Hello readers! I hope your Thanksgiving weekend was relaxing and filled with yummy food and awesome people!
Let me just say that fall is full of such wonderful color and smells, isn’t it? Thanksgiving is always such a warm and cozy time! From hot cocoa and sweaters to boots and pumpkins, the beauty of autumn reaches everything.
This year for Thanksgiving we did a progressive dinner, meaning we seperated each course into different houses. We had appetizers at Mom and Dad’s, my Nana and Papa had salad and rolls, my sister and her husband hosted the meat and potatoes, and my husband and I finished it off with dessert. We watched movies and played games and took our time getting through all the delicious food. It was really fun and kept us from being too full for the next course!
Here are some pictures from the weekend:
Twice Baked Potatoes
Green Bean Casserole (of course!)
Yup, that would be prime rib. We opted for Turkey later in the weekend. (Stay tuned for that recipe!)
Like I said, the hubbster and I took dessert so we made lots of fatty and yummy things!
Meringue Cookies (with added pumpkin and spices. . . added AFTER the meringue peaks.)
Pumpkin Dip & Sliced Apples
What did you do for Thanksgiving?
