Feed Me: mini wheat apple crumble.

So! Today, I have a really exciting recipe to share with you. One I came up with all on my own! You know that annoying last bit of Mini Wheat crumb that no one will eat and you feel bad about throwing away? Hold onto it! Try this recipe out, it’s yummy. And, hey, since hubby is 21 now, I can have alcohol in the house to cook with!

1-2 cups Mini Wheat crumbs
3 apples
2 tablespoons of softened butter
1/2 cup of whole oats
red wine
1/2 Smirnoff green apple bite
dash of cinnamon

Chop the apples and cook until soft (and all the good sugar is released!) and then add in red wine and cook for a few more minutes.

In a bowl, combine oats, mini wheat crumbs, cinnamon, and butter.

Cut in with two knives until evenly distributed.

Pour cooked apples and crumble into a greased pan and mix slightly. Pour half of the wine cooler (Apple Smirnoff) over the top and bake for an hour on 250. (Or until you can’t stand not eating it anymore!) It makes the house smell delicious!

I didn’t get a picture of it all done because we were too anxious to eat it, but it comes out looking similar to apple crisp. :)
